Jonathan Kow
Plastic Surgery: Treasurer
Hi everyone, I’m Jonathan, and I’m running to be your Treasurer.
Society funds should directly benefit members. A good treasurer doesn’t just balance accounts, they make sure money is used efficiently so events are affordable, teaching is accessible, and opportunities are expanded rather than limited by cost.
My aim is to maximise what members gain from iPRAS while keeping finances transparent and sustainable.
What I will deliver
- Transparent budgeting: I will maintain clear records of spending and allocate funds according to member priorities — teaching, conferences, and skills sessions.
- Affordable events: By planning budgets early and negotiating costs, I will keep workshop and conference fees as low as possible without compromising quality.
- Active sponsorship and funding: I will work with industry partners and university funding streams to subsidise teaching materials, guest speakers, and conference events.
- Efficient reimbursements: Claims and expense repayments will be processed quickly and predictably so committee members aren’t out-of-pocket.
- Financial sustainability: I will ensure the society maintains a healthy reserve so future committees can run events confidently without financial risk.
My goal is simple: every pound in iPRAS should translate into value for members.
