After serving as Team Captain, I’m running for Secretary. This society has helped me grow in confidence and leadership, and it’s given me a community I’m proud to be part of.

As Captain, I’ve already taken on responsibility behind the scenes — rescheduling matches around players' availability, organising referees, ensuring we have full squads, and making sure training runs smoothly. I’ve realised how important structure, communication, and strong collaboration between committee members and the team.

As Secretary, I’m promising:

• Consistent communication between committee and members so everyone feels informed and involved

• Stronger organisation of fixtures, training, and deadlines to reduce last-minute stress

• Active sponsor engagement and professional relationships to support the club long-term

• Closer collaboration with publicity to increase awareness, attract new members, and showcase our achievements

• A review of training times and venues, aiming for safer, more accessible, and more reliable options year-round

• Inclusive social events where everyone feels welcome, regardless of playing level or personal choices

I’m committed to putting in the work that often goes unseen. My goal is sustainable growth — competitively, socially, and professionally. We’ve already built something strong; with structure and consistency, we can take it even further and create a standard future committees will follow.
