MiHui Ng

Hello everyone, my name is MiHui Ng, and I'm running for Events Officer of ICUMS. Through my participation in ICUMS events such as M-Night and Dikir practices, I have come to understand the significance of having a space where Malaysians at Imperial can come together and spend quality time with one another. These events have motivated me to be part of the events planning teams to create meaningful events that foster connections for Malaysians at Imperial, just as ICUMS has done for me.

If I am elected as the Events Officer, my goal would be creating a home away from home where members can relax and feel comfortable. I would like to make sure that members are considered in the planning of events by taking into account their availability to participate. I would also like to make it easier for members to keep up to date with the activities of ICUMS. For example, sharing a monthly calendar of upcoming events can help members keep track of activities and key festivals in Malaysia. By working closely with the committee and collecting feedback from members, I aim to organise meaningful gatherings that strengthen connections within the Malaysian community at Imperial and encourage members to stay engaged throughout the year. I promise to work collaboratively and closely with my partner to create a warm, supportive and welcoming ICUMS community for everyone. Thank you for your time and consideration.
