Hi, I am very excited to be running for Vision Sponsorship Officer. It would be an amazing opportunity to help younger students in their medical applications, especially as someone who really benefited from similar schemes to this. Not only inspiring future medics but also teaching much younger children about their health shows the importance of what Vision does.

I would love the opportunity to be sponsorship officer as I have had previous experience as a head of sponsorship as part of the International Tamil society committee so my skillset would be best suited and transferable to this role. I was part of a team of 3 members responsible for securing sponsors for our large scale annual showcase which has around 1000 attendees and months of hardwork and planning. Through this, I have developed my ability to work efficiently in a team, communicating our ideas and issues to each other effectively.

I am familiar with how the sponsorship system works and how to communicate with sponsors. Within Tamil society, we successfully secured thousands of pounds as sponsorship for the event and I secured the main sponsor. In addition to the financial aspect, I built strong relationships with new sponsors while maintaining healthy relationships with continuing sponsors. Furthermore, I have had experience in formulating deals tailored to each sponsor, showing my ability to adapt accordingly.

If chosen, I would do my best to do my part for the society and secure sponsors to help future medical students. Thank you!
