Tsz Chun Yu
Hi everyone. I'm Jack (TszChun), a year 2 student running for the Vice President of Operation.
Physics is a rigorous and demanding degree. My primary objective is to ensure that the Physics Society functions as a support system for its members. By providing a seamless transition from the stress of the lecture theater to the community of our events.
-
I will establish a direct line of communication with department staff to ensure student opinions on strikes are actually heard. I will push the department to provide fair compensation or alternative learning resources for any time we lose.
-
Having attended external events like the KCL and Cambridge Quirk, I’ve seen how other top universities operate. I want to encourage more students to participate in these next year, facilitating knowledge exchange with physicists outside of Imperial.
-
I know that free food makes a massive difference during a long day of lectures. I am committed to securing more funding for free pizza, snacks, and refreshments at our events.
-
I will streamline how we announce events to make sure that no missing out because of late notice. I’ll ensure all logistics, including dates, times, and ticket links, are shared early and clearly.
- Last but not least, I want to hear from you. I will actively welcome feedback so that PhySoc can better cater to our students' actual needs.
