Friends of Médecins Sans Frontières: Secretary

Hi everyone! My name is Salina, and I’m a third-year medical student running to be your next Secretary for Friends of MSF.

I’ve always been deeply inspired by the humanitarian work of Médecins Sans Frontières, and I believe Friends of MSF provides an incredible platform for students to engage with global health, advocacy and medical aid initiatives in a meaningful way really early on in our careers.

Through my previous roles, I’ve developed strong organisational and communication skills that I would bring to this position. As part of the Paediatrics conference subcommittee, where I focused on liaising with and finding appropriate speakers for the conference working closely with the chair and other members of the committee. I’ve gained experience in outreach, coordination and maintaining professional relationships. This has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, manage logistics effectively and ensure events run smoothly behind the scenes. I've also led charity events for Bangladeshi society and independently.

If elected, I’ll work to ensure the society remains organised, proactive and engaged, helping us continue to grow and make a tangible impact.

I’d really appreciate your vote. I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to Friends of MSF and help us achieve great things together!
