Kai Jie Tan
Hi! I'm Kai Jie, a first year Chemical Engineering student, and I'm putting myself forward to be your next ICSS Vice President.
I've spent the last few months attending virtually every ICSS event, big or small. Being around so many of you has given me a clear sense of what we do well, and what can be improved on. My vision for ICSS this coming year is to build on the foundation to elevate the experience, not just for freshers but for the existing members who form the heart of ICSS.
To me, ICSS doesn’t need a total overhaul. It needs people who genuinely care, who listen and who are willing to work to constantly improve the experience. That's the Vice President I strive to be.
I'm naturally social, and I've been lucky enough to get to know people across my year and the years above. I want to create the same opportunities for everyone, not just those who stumble into them. Behind the scenes, I care about building things that last. I intend to use the role’s flexibility to set up systems and habits that make ICSS function more smoothly in the long run.
I want to make ICSS feel more like one big family. That's a smaller, quieter goal, but I think it's the right one.
If you're looking for a Vice President who's approachable, forward-thinking, and invested in making ICSS feel more connected and enjoyable, I'd love to have your support.
