Hello there! I’m KENDRIC (NOT Kendrick like Kendrick Lamar because I’ll never be him). Coming from SAJC, I knew no other Singaporean at Imperial before Sojourn. ICSS helped me find a community of friends I can call my London family. As Vice President, I want to build on what makes ICSS special, while pushing us to be better and connect with the wider imperial community.
First, we will continue having events that bring Singaporeans together with good vibes and good food. Let's streamline our Telegram announcements so information doesn’t get lost, and add updates on food deals or promotions around London so that you know all the good lobang.
Singapore, as a country, is known for building connections. Why can't our society reflect that too? Let’s have Thai food nights with the Thai Society or play Mahjong with ICUMS. While collaborations with other Singapore Societies are important and will definitely continue, I see meaning in building connections with other cultural societies at Imperial. We will start with events that let you get to know the ASEAN students in your course better. And in future, I hope that our juniors will collaborate more with international students across Imperial. Let's maximise studying internationally, one society and event at a time.
I want to continue finding opportunities for improvement, hearing what change you want and suggesting initiatives. That’s also why I am studying mechanical engineering to build solutions for Singapore. Let me work for you, so that you can focus on enjoying ICSS.
