Hey it's your current treasurer and MTB captain Shahmir.

I've got quite a bit of experience working with union so I know how to get funding and make a proper budget for the society. Hence we've managed to go to most BUCS events for free while still having a low membership cost.

I've also been Management Group Chair for the Community sector for year so have:

• Sat on Union Council, voting on major issues like rent increases.
• Regularly met with the DPCS and the Clubs & Societies Project Board, where I’ve been actively involved in shaping the new annual budgeting process whiched launched last march.
• Overseen over 28 societies’ finances, approving claims, purchase orders, and event budgets.
• Helped managed the £25,000 Trip Fund, reviewing and giving input on funding applications.

Last year managed to secure an extra £460 from the ADF fund for our club, covering all travel costs for our summer Wales trip last year.

• I am on good terms with the Deputy President and want to make sure road events are well-funded and accessible while still securing more for MTB. A bigger, better club benefits both disciplines.
• I want to see a better Welcome Fair stall, more social media presence, and more trips so we can get more people riding.

This club should be cheaper, bigger, and better funded and I know how to make that happen. Vote for me, and let’s sort it.
