Angus Millar

I'm Angus, a first year PhD student having finished my 4 year MEng here last year too. Hopefully some of you will know me from the rides this year, despite my poor attendence as of late. I would like to be on the committee next year to help give back to a club which I have very much enjoyed being a part of, and to help others in the same way in the coming years.

I am specifically standing for treasurer as I believe the finances are one area of the club that can be improved. I understand the main responsibilities are approving claims, and completing annual and trip budgets - my experience on the committee for other sports will have helped with this. Trying to convince people to pay membership will also obviously be a big task near the start of the year, despite some prominent members' stubbornness to do so. Mainly I see this position as a good opportunity to reduce some of the costs associated with riding and racing - cycling is already an expensive sport and I hope to do whatever I can to not make it more so.
