Aryaveer Chaudhary
I am Aryaveer Chaudhary, and I am running for Treasurer to ensure our society has the financial power to match our professional ambitions. I have a deep-rooted commitment to this department, having served as your Sustainability Officer in Year 1 and your Industrial Relations Officer in Year 2.
During my time as Industrial Relations Officer, I successfully secured multiple corporate partnerships. Beyond my roles in the society, I have a professional background in quantitative analysis and investment research, where I have managed active funds and developed complex economic models in Excel and MATLAB. I want to apply this technical rigor to our budget to ensure every pound is working for you.
My Financial Vision for Year 3
As Treasurer, I will prioritize funding for the initiatives that matter most to our career development:
-
Hackathons & Quantitative Projects: I will allocate a dedicated budget for ChemEng Hackathons and group projects, providing the resources needed to bridge the gap into consulting and data-driven roles.
-
Industry Diversification: I will aggressively pursue new sponsorship streams from Oil & Gas firms and major consultancies to expand our budget and our networking pool.
- Career-First Funding: I will ensure we have the financial backing for high-value Engineering to Finance sessions and a formal Alumni Mentoring network.
- Data-Driven Spending: I will use performance metrics and student feedback to ensure our funds are reinvested into the events that drive the highest engagement.
