Anya Gupta
Seva. Samarpan. Sangathan. 🪔
Namaste! I’m Anya Gupta, a first-year BioEngineering student running for Treasurer for Hindu Society.
Hindu Soc creates a home away from home on campus through faith, culture, and community. From weekly aartis to celebrations like Diwali, Garba/Navratri, and Holi, these events bring people together and keep our traditions alive. As someone deeply passionate about Hindu culture and festivities, I’d love to support and expand these celebrations while ensuring the society’s finances are used effectively.
What I want to help bring to Hindu Soc:
• Well-funded celebrations – ensuring festivals like Diwali, Holi, and Garba are organised smoothly and on a bigger scale.
• More festivals celebrated – including events for Makar Sankranti, Basant Panchami, and other occasions that often get missed.
• Seva initiatives – introducing Seva Weeks with charity drives or volunteering so the society can give back.
• Sponsorship outreach – partnering with Indian restaurants, cultural organisations, and local businesses to support our events.
• Community socials – more regular aartis, bhajan sessions, mandir visits, and casual socials to strengthen our community.
Why me?
I’m organised, proactive, and genuinely passionate about our culture. I want to ensure Hindu Soc’s resources are used thoughtfully to create meaningful celebrations and a stronger community.
BUT WAIT! (drumroll please! 🥁🥁🥁🥁) Since this is a collaborative role, who better than Kavish Khemka to uphold it with me? As they say, “Taali ek haath se nahi bajti!” Together we’ll bring double the energy and dedication to help Hindu Soc thrive!
