Hindu Society: Treasurer

Money shouldn’t be stressful. Especially not society money.

If I’m Treasurer, my goal is simple: keep Hindu Soc financially strong, transparent and able to run bigger, better events without the panic of financial concerns.

Here’s how:

  • Clear, transparent budgeting: Detailed event budgets shared within committee, clear cost breakdowns and realistic revenue projections before we commit to spending.
  • Smarter planning: Locking in budgets and payment timelines well in advance for major events, avoiding last-minute price hikes.
  • Financial buffer: Setting aside a small percentage of surplus from large events to create a reserve fund.
  • Value for members: Negotiating competitive quotes from vendors, tracking cost per attendee and pricing tickets fairly.

Good finances mean we can plan bigger events with confidence, take smart risks when needed, and avoid the cycle of scrambling to break even. I want Hindu Soc to grow sustainably — not just survive from one event to the next, but build something stronger each year with proper continuity and financial discipline.

I’m someone who values organisation, accountability and transparency. Treasurer isn’t about just “handling money” — it’s about creating stability behind the scenes so everything we do can shine.

Vote for stability, clarity, and events we can confidently afford.
