Hiya! I'm Ioan, and I’m running to be your next BioSoc President.
It’s been great meeting so many of you (especially on the Y1 group chat!).

My three point plan for BioSoc:

  1. More free socials - One every two weeks: lab coat embroidery, museum trips, summer movie nights etc.
  2. More interdepartmental events (with proper snacks!) - I've spoken to Y1 Academic Reps, and the feedback forms say students want active collaboration. Bulk buying with other departments = better food and better events.
  3. More career talks & workshops - Throughout my role as a member of the Royal Society of Biology, I've met inspiring astrobiologists, neuroscientists and bioengineers. I want to bring them to you.

Why me for President?

  1. I lead with empathy - As a Flight Dynamics Engineer for ICL Rocketry, I help build skilled, trusting teams by actively listening.
  2. I organise effectively - As Wilson House Secretary, I co-lead student town halls. I also organise tounament budgets and logistics.
  3. I'm reliable - I've consistently worked hard and enjoyed supporting many of you this year on the Y1 group chat. I'll give BioSoc president my full energy!
