Precious Emmanuel

Greetings everyone, my name is Precious, PrePre to my friends, and I am running to be your next PREsident.

Before arriving at Imperial, ACS group-chats and events introduced me to some of my closest friends. The shared jokes, discussions, and experiences of navigating Imperial as students of African and Caribbean heritage made this daunting place feel smaller, warmer, and more like home.

My vision for ACS is to make it a vibrant, culturally representative space where everyone can immediately feel at home, even in the intense and isolating environment of Imperial.

I’ve listened to members across year groups, and your voices shaped this vision. If elected some of the things I want to focus on:

• Growing our impact beyond Imperial through outreach and charity initiatives.
• Creating more career-focused events and collaborating with other career-based societies. Whether that’s finance, tech, neuroscience or beyond.
• Stronger cultural representation, ensuring that different cultures and voices feel heard, celebrated, and included.
• Introducing “cutesy” social spaces: more relaxed, wholesome events for freshers and quieter members to get involved.
• Building stronger relationships with other societies and universities through event collaborations.
• More sports-based socials and friendly competitions
• Snacks: plantain chips will always have their place, but variety is the spice of life.

ACS shaped my university experience. Now I would love to shape its future. If my vision resonates with you, I would be grateful for your vote.
