Hello everyone! I’m Aisha Saidykhan, a second-year medical student and Marketing Officer for ACS. I recognise that while ACS means something different to everyone, our community is our greatest strength, and I am committed to ensuring that it truly serves every one of its members.
My vision rests on two core pillars:
Professional Development:
I will revolutionise our career support by restructuring the Sponsorship team into a dedicated ‘Sponsorship and Careers’ department. By forging strategic partnerships with established career societies, I will bridge the gap between our members and top-tier industries. We will launch Interview Clinics and a flagship ‘Professional Portfolio Day’ – a one stop workshop for CV masterclasses and professional headshots.
Fostering Inclusivity:
Through intentional outreach with the rebranded "Social Impact and Diversity Officer”, we will launch targeted initiatives for under-represented groups. I pledge to be an accessible leader and turn your feedback into action, ensuring ACS is a space where every voice has a seat at the table.
As a current committee member, I’ve seen firsthand the dedication required to run this society and have successfully navigated the challenges of liaising with committee and external partners. Strengthening our foundations in sports and the family system is just the beginning; my leadership will steer ACS towards a more professional, inclusive, and transformative future.
