Response to the Imperial Zero Index

Last summer, Imperial's Zero index

There has been a very low bar threshold for companies to meet a vague "net zero", and contextual metrics never specified, making it impossible to replicate assessment as claimed. In addition, there are the worst companies in each threshold. i would push for a better investment policy here at imperial.

Larger range of career opportunities

As a student in the Earth Science and Engineering department, I’ve often felt that the career opportunities presented have invariably been tied to oil and gas. I’ve heard many students feeling similarly in their own departments. As a network member, I would further push the Green careers fair as an opportunity for students to explore beyond what's traditionally in their industries

Imperial has so many student-run social justice and environment-related societies, I would love to gather all your ideas and present them at Union council/. As campaigns manager of the Environmental Society this year, I've run weekly Monday meetings, where we’ve discussed ways imperial’s investment policy and areas for improvement. I’ve also worked with the current Ethics and Environment officer, Julia.
