Hey guys,

It’s Marina (yes, your Year 1 & Year 2 Academic Rep for the class of 2028 :)). After two years of raising your concerns, chasing deadlines, and making sure feedback actually gets heard, I’m running to be your Departmental Academic Rep. Inspired by the current Dep Rep goats — Alice, Leo and Arsh — who somehow make this role look so fun, I wanted to step up this year.

I genuinely care about building a supportive and inclusive ChemEng community — across Years 1–4, MSc and exchange students. I’d love to organise more careers and social events to bring everyone together, but most importantly, strengthen student–staff communication so our uni experience is smoother, clearer, and honestly more enjoyable.

I know how the department works, I’m always around, I reply quickly, and I genuinely want to help — whether that’s raising concerns, resolving issues, or just being someone you can message when something feels off.
