Let’s Make College a College Again.

College is not a corporation. It is a community of curious, slightly sleep-deprived humans trying to understand the universe before deadlines understand us. If elected, I will focus on substance over spectacle.

Here is a bold statement: changing a logo will not attract brilliant minds. Brilliant minds come for brilliant conversations, challenging research, and an environment that values ideas over image. We do not need to spend vast sums rebranding ourselves like a cereal box.

Academics are not marketing slogans. We are scientists, engineers, medics, mathematicians, thinkers. If we want Imperial to be exceptional, we must earn it through stronger research culture and clearer communication — not by announcing it repeatedly in glossy fonts.

Therefore, I will prioritise science communication across the Union. Better seminars. Interdisciplinary forums. Platforms where students can explain their work clearly and confidently. If you can explain it, you understand it. If others understand it, collaboration begins.

Great universities are built by conversations, not campaigns. I will strengthen student voice in academic matters and ensure the Union supports real intellectual exchange — not just social media engagement metrics.

Prestige is behaviour. Not branding.

Together, let’s revive the idea of a college: a place for debate, discovery, tradition, and courage — not a company with better merchandise.

Vote for substance.
Vote for science.
Vote for revival.
