My experience includes:
❁ Leading societies: Served on the Czech and Slovak Society committee for multiple years.
❁ Student leadership: Acted in RCSU committee and as a Horizons representative.
❁ Driving sustainability: Successfully pushed for sustainable initiatives across ICU venues, including effective recycling and reducing single-use plastic.
Student community
❁ Reducing bureaucracy: Join fragmented platforms into one accessible, coherent system so clubs and societies can operate efficiently.
❁ Embedding student feedback: Introduce structured consultation into Union-planned events to ensure they reflect student interests.
❁ Expanding flexible employment: Advocate for more minimum-hour and flexible job opportunities across the Union and Imperial.
Student needs
❁ Housing affordability: Push to freeze Imperial halls rents and strengthen support for continuing students seeking affordable accommodation, including first-year hall roles.
❁ Effective financial support: Ensure bursaries are usable in practice and inclusive to larger groups of students.
❁ Accountable development: Offer updates on Imperial’s development and investment plans, pushing for decisions that align with student interests and values.
❁ Inclusive campus: Advocate for permanent, accessible prayer spaces and consistently represent students whose voices are too often overlooked, ensuring Union policies and campus practices are fair, respectful, and reflective of our community’s diversity.
