Hi! I'm Comfort, and I'm running to be your next Union President. I've been your BME Officer for the last two years, and I'm keen to transform student life for every student at Imperial. These manifesto points are not my own; they are what you have told me you would like to see. If elected, these would be my priorities:
Belonging and Student Life
- Increase sports funding, potentially through alumni connections.
- New scheme allowing one society to host a fully funded event monthly.
- Explore better spaces and event processes for societies.
- Dedicated postgraduate events and events on other campuses — White City Campus.
- Sober (alcohol-free) and come alone events throughout the year.
- Advocate for your needs for the new chaplaincy space.
Cost of Living Support
- Improve food on campus: cheaper hot meals under £5, better variety, clear halal and allergen signposting, open until later.
- More affordable housing options and spaces.
- Increased shuttle services — more frequent during busy hours, and potentially a shuttle from North Acton.
Academic Support
- More study/library spaces in and around campus, potentially through local collaborations.
- Companies advertising at particular job fairs commit to a defined number of roles or interview places for Imperial students.
- Protect assessment windows — no deadlines during assessment week, maximum 2 major deadlines within a week.
- Support finding internships and placements
Transparency & Accountability
- Weekly updates on what is being done via a dedicated Instagram page.
- Clear reporting on sustainability and Imperial's investments.
This is your Union! Your priorities, my mission. #ChooseComfort
