Investment: Head of Sell-Side Corporate Relations

Hi Everyone,

My name’s Viraj. You may know me through my QT Capital pitches or through engaging with Investment Society’s stellar lineup of events! Having worked closely with and spoken to last year’s Head of Sellside Relations, I’m confident I’m the best candidate to spearhead this role.

Investment Society has an incredible footing to connect students with leading sell-side firms, fostering invaluable networking opportunities. Having engaged with the society deeply over the last two years from QTCapital to SEC to the fireside chats and networking events, I’m excited to give back.

Having participated in insight programs at prestigious sell-side firms including UBS, Goldman Sachs, RBC and BNPP, I want to utilise my own network to continue the trajectory by Namia and Han from last year.

My mission for the role is four-fold:

Increasing the number of events we have in collaboration with top-tier and diverse sell-sides from elite boutiques, bulge brackets to middle market banks.
Increasing the number of exclusive networking opportunities available to students - whether that’s office visits, Imperial-only insight days or specific campus networking opportunities for Imperial students, I’m keen to broaden our reach and promote Imperial as a key talent acquisition centre.
Continue our successful trajectory this year of engaging MDs and VPs to come to our event, and potentially roll-out more sector-specific initiatives like the BNPP event this year!
Increase sponsorship by creating a new tailored strategy to engage firms, expanding into alternative types of sponsorship beyond financial!
