Yuichiro Minamikawa
Bio Engineering: Academic & Technical Events Coordinator
Hi, I'm Yuichiro, a second-year MBE. As students at Imperial, I'm sure we all care about our future. My goal as Academic/Technical Events Coordinator is to organise a range of events that allow you to develop skills crucial for your academic and professional future. This includes:
- Workshops in software tools (e.g. LaTex, MATLAB, Arduino IDE) with a focus on its application to ensure you don't suffer as much in higher years during your lab reports
- Talks on very exciting and trendy areas in bioengineering and tech (e.g. Machine Learning, Tissue Engineering, AI) that can enlighten you
- Growing a platform for shared resources between different years
I plan to collaborate more with the other Events Coordinators (Industrial, Social, Wellbeing) to organise events that are a combination of social and informative. For example:
- Free food and booze during educational talks and workshops so you can socialise, eat and be educated.
- Strengthening the departmental community to encourage interaction between different years
I've had plenty of experience in organising events. This includes my role as Events Officer in the student council, organising events for 800+ students such as sports tournaments, talks from alumni etc.
I would really appreciate it if you vote for me.
