Women in Business: Head of Events/Sponsorship

Hi everyone! I'm Kiki, a final-year Medical Biosciences student transitioning to a Masters in Global Health Management at the Imperial Business School next year. As part of the ICWB committee as Marketing Manager, I have skills in creating promotional content and developing marketing strategies. Not only this, but I also already have the foundational knowledge of the society’s operations and a clear understanding of ICWB’s mission:

As President of the Fashion and Design Society, I am comfortable with leading a diverse group and delegating tasks tailored to one’s strengths and experiences. This makes me well-suited for leading the Events/Sponsorships team, backed by my experiences in completing multiple event proposals and risk assessments (+ when to submit because Union is a pain), along with communicating with designers/brands to secure sponsors.

I aim to introduce initiatives focusing on:

  • Expanding industry connections – Liaise with the marketing team to provide events tailored to members’ interests, e.g. Technology, Finance, Media, Law, HR etc.
  • Specific skill workshops in collaboration with other societies e.g. discounted cash flow modelling workshop with investment society, interactive consulting case studies
  • Collaborating with other London WIB societies – Elevate networking opportunities by connecting with a broader range of professionals and students; Sharing resources (speakers, venues) will make it more cost-effective to run high quality events e.g. conferences, dinners, workshops
  • MORE SOCIALSSS and event ideas I have in mind: Informal socials with alumni, café/dinner committee dates, office visits, girls night outs, interview practice
