Jin Tao Zhang

Hi everyone!

We are Daniel and Jin Tao, and are second year medics. We are running for Endocrinology Society co-presidents this year. We know that the intricate world of hormones, metabolic balance, and everything in between isn't just a course requirement – it's a captivating field!

As co-presidents, we have several ideas we would like to implement:

• Build tutorials that are comprehensive, useful, and engaging with motivated students as tutors, for all years.
• Engage with organisations like Diabetes UK, Society of Endocrinology, and Verity PCOS society.
• Promote the conference, as well as create more events such as networking meets, and collaborating with other societies.
• Increase awareness of external research opportunities to our members.
• Create and maintain a monthly newsletter, as well as increase social media presence.

In the past, I have been a part of helping prospective medical school applicants through mentoring and interview preparation, as well as being involved in coordinating and leading group projects and events. Therefore, I believe that I can bring my experience in leadership, working collaboratively, and managing time effectively into this role, which will aid in the smooth running of the society. Moreover, I am particularly interested in listening to others and taking on board feedback that will help to further strengthen and shape the society.
