Adam Shann

Hi everyone! My name is Adam, I'm a 2nd year medical student, and I'm excited to put myself forward to be your next Play Coordinator.

My interest in paediatrics was sparked during my first hospital placement, where I closely followed the care of a child. This experience, coupled with my volunteering with Playteam, has solidified my passion for this speciality. Now, I'm eager to give back to the society and share this passion with our community.

Volunteering on the paediatric ward ward brings me immense joy and fulfillment. Being able to bring a smile to a child's face, despite the difficult times they are going through, is truly one of the best feelings you can experience. Through the simple act of playing or chatting, we have the power to help the children escape their troubles and have fun, all while simultaneously giving their families that much needed moment of relief. Considering these factors, I can't think of any other way I'd like to spend my Sunday mornings!

Coordinator plays a crucial role in making these moments happen. That is why I'm eager to join forces with you all, realize our full potential, and make Playteam the best it can possibly be.
