Prabhas Vedagiri

Hi there! If we haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet, my name is Prabhas and I am looking to represent you once again as your Sponsor Liaison for DoCSoc 2024/25! I am a confident and outgoing computing second-year, and I'm sure anyone who knows me will tell you the same.

I believe I am the ideal candidate for this role given my previous experiences. Most notably, I already have experience in this role (as the current sponsor liaison). To summarise what I have achieved so far:

• When I set out last year, I made it my goal to increase the proportion of tech sponsors in DoCSoc - we have since welcomed the likes of Angstrom, Meta and more.
• Organised events such as Angstrom's latest workshop, advising sponsors on ways to make events more engaging and beneficial for attendees
• Directly involved in bringing Agemo.ai to ICHack24 (a generative AI start-up)
• Maintained constant communication with the secretary, MPOs and others to ensure job opportunities and sponsor events are made available to members

I hope to continue helping students get the most out of DoCSoc. If elected, I hope to:

• Increase engagement with start-ups and Imperial-alumni-led projects to promote new work opportunities
• Organise more networking events with both sponsors and alumni
• Encourage more exciting, interactive, workshop-style events

As someone already familiar with DoCSoc and the Union, I wish to capitalise on this to find new ways to improve the student experience.
