DoCSoc: Events Officer

Hello!

I am Lorand, a 1st year Computing student. I’ve loved DocSoc’s events as they have helped me meet people, learn, -- and eat, and I would love an opportunity to help organize these awesome events next year.

I’ve had lots of experience organizing events during my time as a 6th form Student Leader, and so I believe I would be a good fit for the role of Events Officer.

What are my aims?

  • I will make sure every member of DocSoc feels they have events they can look forward to. Not only interesting academic events, but also enjoyable events to decompress and have a break from work.

  • I will make more of a push for collaborations with other societies. There are so many wonderful different societies out there and I believe it could be exciting to have joint events.

  • I will actively seek feedback from students to make sure we run the best events possible. :)
