Civil Engineering: Treasurer

To my Civsoc family,

My name is Yuriko and I am running for the role of treasurer. Throughout my time here, l've actively participated in various Civsoc events. I am passionate about creating more opportunities to allow members to explore interest in this field further. Here are 3 reasons why I believe I will be a perfect fit for this role.

  1. Financing skills
As a founder of a charity walk organisation, We Care Fukushima, I am experienced in managing money and putting them to good use. I initiated and organised to raise over £4000 in the past 7 years, ensuring it has been donated to the right foundation by visiting offices myself and personally participating in the recovery works post the nuclear power plant explosion in Fukushima.
  2. Teamwork and leadership
With an experience as a prefect, I possess great leadership skills. I am not afraid to speak up, voice opinions and negotiate for the smooth running of the society. I will ensure to bring in new initiatives by working closely with the rest of the committee.
  3. Positivity
Lastly, I have always been full of enthusiasm and energy. Whether it be during a meeting, an event or just passing by in Skem, I promise to always bring positivity to better everyone's experiences at Imperial.

If elected, I promise to showcase these qualities and ensure that the society will be financially on track.

Thank you for reading my manifesto and I hope to be able to give back to the CivSoc community!!
