Bonjour à tous! I'm Emmanuelle, a second-year Biochemistry student. I grew up in Paris, finished school in York, and now call London home. I'm running for Liaison Officer because I want the French Soc to be the bridge between Imperial and the French-speaking world around us.
Why me
- Fully bilingual (French/English), plus upper-intermediate Spanish, so I'm comfortable representing the society to anyone, in any room.
- I already know how the society runs. As Event Manager I've seen what our members want and where outside partners could make our events bigger and better.
- I'm connected across campus. I'm in ICFS, the Entrepreneurship, Prototyping & Hacking, and Hockey societies, so I can build joint events quickly.
What I'll do
- Partner with our French neighbours. South Kensington is London's French quarter. I'll reach out to cultural institutions, bakeries and restaurants for discounts, venues and co-hosted events.
- Run cross-society collaborations. Possible ideas include a careers evening with ICFS, a startup night with the Entrepreneurship Soc, and joint socials with other language societies.
- Connect with French Socs at other London universities through inter-university socials and shared events that none of us could run alone.
- Build a careers network. I'll reach out to French and francophone companies and Imperial alumni working in France, in finance, healthcare, engineering and beyond.
- Keep members in the loop, with clear communication so every partnership turns into something you can actually use.
Whether you're French, or just love le fromage, I want you in French Soc!
Votez Emmanuelle! 🇫🇷
