Engineers Without Borders UK: Chief Innovation Officer

Hi, I'm Justin Nakamura, a second-year Mechanical Engineering student with a strong interest in using engineering to tackle real-world social and environmental challenges.

Through my involvement in Formula Student and engineering projects, I've enjoyed working with others to turn ideas into practical solutions. I'd love to bring that experience to Engineers Without Borders.

If elected, I would focus on:

Hackathon: Help organise an engaging, well-structured hackathon that encourages students from different disciplines to collaborate on meaningful engineering challenges.
Society-wide projects: Work with members to develop a collaborative project addressing a real social or environmental problem.
Accessibility: Make projects welcoming to students of all experience levels, encouraging participation, creativity and hands-on learning.

Ultimately, I want to help create opportunities for students to apply their engineering skills beyond the classroom and make a positive difference.
