Hey everyone!

I'm Marlene, a second-year bioengineering student from Carinthia, Austria, running to be Chair of the Austrian society.

I am running for Chair because I want to build the most welcoming society at Imperial. My first steps would be making an official group chat and getting feedback from all the members on what you would like to see this year. I would like to organise events for occasions like the Austrian national holiday or a christmas dinner, as well as collaborating with other societies to have some bigger events. My vision is for all events to feature some kind of food (Manner-Schnitten are unfortunately hard to come by in London). Additionally, I will listen closely to all members and their suggestions for improvements or events you'd like to see, so we can all shape this society together into something we love. Overall, I want this to be a warm and welcoming society for everyone, regardless if you are Austrian or not.
