Hi guys, I’m Han! I’m running for SORA Biomedical Representative because right now, SORA barely feels like it’s for us. I want to change that.

I’m genuinely passionate about research and considering pursuing a career in academia myself, so making SORA actually work for BMB students is something I care about personally.

• A dedicated BMB research event each term. Speakers, grad panels, or careers content aimed at biomed students specifically → not an afterthought
• Actually telling BMB students SORA exists. Through year group chats, socials and first-year inductions → so no one misses out the way plenty of us did in Year 1
• Direct line into what BMB students want. Short termly check-ins with coursemates on what research/academia content or opportunities they’re after → events shaped by what we actually asked for, not guesswork
• Pushing for BMB representation in SORA’s bigger events. Conferences, career fairs, mentorship schemes → made genuinely relevant to biomed students, not just medics

I want BMB students to see SORA as something built for us too, not just something we’re invited to.
