I am applying for National Conference Lead because I want to help deliver a conference that is well-organised, academically valuable and genuinely engaging for students.

As a National Research and Exchange Officer for Students for Global Health UK, I have experience coordinating national-level projects, working with students across different institutions and communicating with academics and external stakeholders.

If elected, I would focus on:

1. Strong speakers and relevant topics across research, academia and career development.
2. Interactive sessions such as workshops, panels and networking opportunities.
3. Wider national engagement by collaborating with universities and student societies.
4. Clear organisation and promotion to maximise attendance and provide a professional experience.

My goal is to create a conference that students leave with new knowledge, useful connections and greater confidence in pursuing research and academia.
