Hellooo everyone! I’m Sinswien, and I’m running to be your Year 2 Academic Rep!

While I may not be the loudest voice in class, I make an effort to attend lectures and tutorials and get started on assignments early. So I DO notice when timetables clash, deadlines pile up, or the workload gets a little too heavy on our shoulders!

My main goal is to make it easy for you to share your concerns—and ensure they’re followed up. I’ll create a simple feedback form where you can share concerns, suggestions, or anything that isn’t working well. I’ll review it weekly, identify shared issues, and act as a bridge between our BTV cohort, the department, and module leaders. Most importantly, I’ll follow up and keep you updated on their responses and any progress.

If elected, I’ll focus on:

• Improving timetable coordination: Juggling our modules is already tiring—we shouldn’t need avatars to appear in several lectures and tutorials at once! I’ll raise clashes and scheduling concerns with the department and push for practical solutions.

• Making study groups more useful: I’ll gather feedback on topics we’re struggling with and work with module leaders and GTAs to better tailor study groups to our learning needs.

I can’t promise to fix everything, but I can promise to listen, raise your concerns, and follow through.

It’s a busy year ahead—let’s clear away the unnecessary fuss and help each other get to the finish line!
