Hi everyone, I’m Ramsden from Year 2 BTV, and I am running for your Year 2 Academic Student Representative.

Having served as your Rep last year, I know the role inside out, the BTV cohort's potential academic needs, and ways to resolve problems. I'm fully familiar with the administrative processes, committee meetings, the right channels to use when issues arise, and how to turn student feedback into results.

What We Achieved Last Year:

• 100% Attendance at all Staff-Student Committee meetings so that our cohort’s concerns (overlapping course content, 3D printer access issues) were heard at faculty level.
• We resolved major academic problems (exam paper discrepancies, scheduling clashes).

If elected this year, I will work on:

• Targeted Academic Support: If you find the course content overwhelming, please reach out. I will work directly with professors and TAs, or use Menti at the end of class to gather feedback. This ensures that tough concepts will be clarified in study groups.
• Fairer Timetables: I will continue to push for fairer timetables.
• Better Project Resources: I will keep an eye on access to lab resources and software licensing to ensure our projects can be done efficiently.
• Last but not least: Ensuring everyone's voice is heard!
