Making Research Life Better at Imperial

Research should be challenging because of the questions we tackle, not the systems we navigate.

As a PhD student, I am standing to make postgraduate research at Imperial simpler, fairer and more connected.

1. Smarter PhD Administration

I will advocate for a unified digital system for PhD milestones such as ESA and LSR, with clear deadlines, responsibilities and progress tracking for students, supervisors and examiners.

2. A Better GTA Experience

I want a College-wide GTA portal bringing together teaching opportunities, contracts, timesheets and payments, alongside fairer and more transparent working conditions.

3. A Shared Postgraduate Forum

I will push for a platform where researchers can exchange advice, share experiences and raise concerns about PhD life, supervision and teaching. It could also help undergraduates and prospective researchers navigate postgraduate study.

4. A More Connected Research Community

I will encourage student-led journal clubs, science communication and interdisciplinary discussions, creating more opportunities to exchange ideas and collaborate beyond departmental boundaries.

My Commitment

As Chair, I will work with postgraduate representatives across faculties, the Union and the Graduate School to bring student feedback into meaningful discussions and practical proposals.

I want a research environment where administration supports our work, teaching is valued, and every postgraduate researcher has a voice.

Less bureaucracy. More transparency. Better research.
