Sascha Rosenbaum

Postgraduate Taught Representation Chair

Hey y’all! I’m Sascha, a New Yorker 🍎 and honorary Frenchman 🇫🇷 (oui, I speak French, like apparently 50% of South Kensington). Like you, I started my postgrad journey at Imperial this September, in Aeronautics ✈️ So I know a thing or two about getting things off the ground.

You may be thinking: why vote for Sascha?

I’ve got the experience - I’ve been an elected student representative for three years in high school and three in my bachelor’s, representing a cohort of 150 students! (#tryhard). I turned their feedback into action by taking it to the academic council and fighting for a better student experience, and it paid off: we got new career events, better exam policies, and fairer grading. But enough from my CV.

What can I offer you? As your PGT Representation Chair, my campaign promises are:

  • Always reachable: feedback forms for your dissertation-length rants, plus social accounts to DM me directly 📝
  • Every faculty heard: I’ll work closely with each VP-PGT, Medicine and the Business School 👂
  • Open communication: I’ll report back on what’s changed and what I’m still fighting for ✊
  • Mid-year, not next-year: One-year courses (look at you speedy queens 💅🏻) mean end-of-year surveys help nobody. I’ll fight for changes you’ll see before you graduate! 🎓

And you can always stop me in the hallway. Unlike most New Yorkers, I’ll usually have a smile on my face, and I won’t scream something about walking here.

Want a Chair who’s da Bomb 💣? Vote Rosenbaum!
