Biochemistry (UG): Year Two Wellbeing Representative

I want wellbeing representation to be more than just giving one-way feedback. Our Wellbeing Representative should not only be someone we approach with concerns, but also someone who keeps us informed and helps create an environment where we feel comfortable talking openly about mental health. If elected as your Year 2 Wellbeing Representative, I will focus on three achievable goals:

1. Making it easier to speak up

I will create an accessible form, with the option to remain anonymous, where you can raise concerns or suggest improvements throughout the year. Everyone should have a way to contribute, even if they aren't comfortable speaking in person.

2. Making sure your feedback doesn't disappear

I will share updates after each student-staff meeting, explaining which concerns were raised, the responses received, and what happens next. I also intend to create a publicly accessible document tracking concerns that have been addressed, are still being discussed, or have not yet been taken forward, while respecting everyone's privacy. Although I cannot promise every concern will lead to change, I can promise transparency and consistent communication.

3. Making wellbeing support easier to access

I will create a simple guide to Imperial's wellbeing resources, explaining who to contact and how to access support. I hope this will also encourage more open conversations about the social, personal, and emotional challenges we face as students.

Above all, I want to be a representative you can always talk to.
