Arundhati Gupta
Medicine (UG): Phase 1c Wellbeing Representative
Hi everyone! I’m Arun, and I would love to be your Year 3 Wellbeing Rep. Stepping into clinical life can be daunting, but we don’t have to navigate it alone. To me, wellbeing is about building a culture of listening, genuine care, and developing effective initiatives that make a difference.
My background has given me the tools to be a fierce, approachable, and proactive advocate:
- Sixth Form Wellbeing Ambassador: Created peer-support sessions and weekly "happy news" boards with clear signposting to destigmatise mental health and foster holistic support.
- Youth Camp Leader, Tutor & SEN Support: Working with young people has taught me adaptability, patience, and how to create inclusive spaces catering to diverse learning needs.
- Hockey Captain, Gazette Editor & Paeds Subcomm: Built strong team morale, focused on clear communication, and ensured everyone felt welcome.
My Ideas:
- Clinical Transition Support: Practical ward survival guides and peer check-ins - I want to launch a structured initiative connecting us with older students to share real-world wellbeing advice.
- Meet the Welfare Team: Hosting informal socials so we are familiar faces rather than strangers behind an email address, making it far less intimidating to open up about personal issues.
- Proactive Outreach: Reaching out for help is often the hardest step. I want to bridge the gap by making the first move - offering regular check-ins and clearly promoting available resources so support is visible before you need to search for it.
When you need a hand, I'll be the first to aRUN to your side :)
