Hi there! My name is Jawad, and last year, I served as academic representative for DE1. So this year, I'm standing to do it again! Quick summary of what I did last year:
- Met with DEP module leads both inside and outside SSC meetings, communicating key student pain points with the module delivery and working on solutions that balanced student expectations and wants with College policy.
- Pushing forward key issues during SSCs, ranging from personal tutorial structuring to power banks in RODH 409.
- Supporting my peers with the mitigating cirumstances process and facilitating better communication to the staff of problems faced by students, both individual and cohort-wide.
- Being active on the WhatsApp chat, communicating cancelled lectures / important module updates, SSC meeting minutes, and answering some academic questions.
- Recording a 'tutorial' for the data science practice exam where I explained my thought process (304 views guys??? daaaang)
And much more! So I hope to bring my skills and leadership forward once again, and keep supporting you guys, no matter the election outcome :)
Thanks for reading my manifesto, and I hope you'll choose me to represent you, DE2!
