Hi everyone! I'm Dandy, and I'm standing to be your MSc Control and Optimisation Course Representative.
Having previously served as the Vice President of Internal Welfare in my undergraduate student union, where I helped oversee the welfare of approximately 250 students, I understand the importance of listening to different perspectives, communicating openly, and working together to improve the student experience.
As we navigate an intensive MSc programme, I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and included. Whether it's academic challenges, balancing workloads, or adjusting to life at Imperial, I want to help make our experience as positive and rewarding as possible.
As your Course Representative, I aim to bring three qualities to the role:
- Approachability
Be someone you feel comfortable reaching out to, whether to share feedback, raise concerns, or discuss ideas about improving our course experience. - Constructive Communication
Represent our collective perspectives fairly and communicate them effectively to course staff, working collaboratively towards practical solutions to the issues that matter to us. - Accountability
Keep everyone informed about relevant discussions, actions taken, and progress made, so you know how your feedback is being addressed.
I believe a Course Representative should be more than just a role. I want to be someone you can approach, rely on, and trust to represent our shared interests.
Let's make our year at Imperial a rewarding experience, together!
