CGCU: Events Officer

Hi, I’m Arhvee Cruz, a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student. Last year, I served as the Vice Chair for Events and Publicity in the Mechanical Engineering Society, where I gained experience planning socials, coordinating logistics and creating spaces for students to connect.

Engineering at Imperial can be demanding and I believe a strong social environment helps balance the intensity. As Events Officer, I want to organise engaging events where students can decompress, meet new people and build friendships both within and beyond their departments. My aim is to strengthen Imperial’s social community by offering a broad range of events each term from Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s activities to sports days, end‑of‑year celebrations and smaller socials that give everyone something to look forward to.

I want to help make Imperial a place where students feel included, relaxed and excited to get involved.
