Hi everyone! I’m Lili and I’d absolutely love to be your academic rep this year. If you’re looking for someone who’s friendly, approachable but equally bold and outspoken to be your academic rep, I’m your girl. Over first year, I’ve developed so much respect for my fellow Imperial med warriors, and so I want to hear your ideas. Whether you stop me for a quick chat in SAF or drop me an email, I’m all ears. But what’s more is that I get stuff done. I’m not afraid to question things and find a better answer - after all, I want what’s best for everyone.
Here are my main three ideas for year TWO…
TRACKING STUDENT CONCERNS: Establish a student-run EdStem forum to raise everyday concerns (can be anonymous). This will help us collect data, identify trends and reduce barriers to SSLG engagement, meaning we approach faculty with stronger, evidence based arguments.
WORKSHOPS FOR EXAM TECHNIQUE: Strengthen SAQ technique through targeted mentoring from topic leads. Tutorials could adopt a more SAQ based format to gain familiarity with answering an exam-type question in a group setting.
OPTIMISED TEACHING: Adapt teaching formats to reflect the needs of each topic, while including support sessions within that year to reinforce the difficult learning event - e.g. difficult BRS and LMAP GOLs.
If any of my manifesto resonates with you, vote for me!
Thanks everyone!
