Last year, you elected me as your Year 1 Academic Representative. This year, I’m asking for your trust again, not because I got everything right, but because I’ve learned from the experience and know where I can improve.

I did my best, but I recognise that I may not always have met everyone’s expectations. Your feedback matters, including when it concerns how I do the job. With a year’s experience, I now understand better how the system works, how to raise concerns and how to follow them through.

My priority this year is accountability: making sure you know your concerns are being heard and what is happening about them.

I can’t promise to solve every problem, but I can promise to take your concerns seriously, communicate more consistently and use what I learned last year to represent you even better!
