Misa Nanthan

Hi! I’m Misa and I’m running to be Head of Acts for Tamil Society next year.

As a performer in this year’s Freshers’ Act, I gained insight into the effort, commitment, and coordination required to bring a performance together. I have a strong dance background, having trained in Bharatanatyam and spent over a year as a member of JRDA. These experiences have given me an appreciation for both the creative and organisational sides of producing a successful show.

Alongside this, I have experience leading group projects and helping organise school events. Through these roles, I developed strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage deadlines and coordinate effectively within a team.

If elected, I would focus on keeping all groups on track through clear timelines, regular progress checks, and strong communication between choreographers, dancers, and the committee. I want to create a supportive environment where choreographers feel informed and empowered, allowing challenges to be addressed early.

Having been a performer myself, I understand the dedication dancers invest in their routines. I would make the experience enjoyable and rewarding while helping deliver a memorable, high-quality show that showcases everyone’s talent and hard work.
