Shubhange Jhingran

Hi everyone! I’m Shubhange and I would love to be one of your Choir Managers next year!!

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a second-year medic and I joined choir this year. Choir (and music as a whole) has genuinely been one of the highlights of my year. I’ve loved all the rehearsals, concerts and socials, but more than anything it’s been the people I’ve met that have made it so special!

One thing I do regret is not joining choir as a fresher. I remember feeling too nervous to walk into a big lecture theatre not knowing anyone, but looking back now I realise how welcoming and supportive choir is, and how much more fun uni life is with it!

Because of this, I’m really passionate about encouraging freshers to get involved from the very start and creating an environment where people feel comfortable just showing up and giving it a go!

I also hope to be someone approachable that both freshers and current members feel comfortable coming to with any concerns or ideas, even if it’s just their choice of biscuit (although custard creams are clearly the only right answer).

Choir has been so lovely thanks to all the hard work from Rachel, Aamani and Lizzie and I would really love the opportunity to give something back and help it continue to grow.
