Hi Prosthetics Society, I'm Niall, a Mechanical Engineering student, and l am standing to be your Events Officer.

To ensure that events become more than creative ideas, there must be clear planning, communication, and execution. Being Deputy Head Boy at my previous school has taught me this process, from organising big school events to acting as a bridge between students and staff. It is this practical experience that I would now like to bring to the society.

If elected, I will focus on the following:

-> Accessible Workshops:

I will organise more design challenges and practical 'buildathons' that satisfy this society's need to connect interdisciplinary areas. Whether you are an Electrical Engineering student or a Chemistry student, events will provide an active role for all.

-> Industry Networking:

I aim to leverage industry networks to host impactful guest speakers, ranging from prosthetic users and researchers to industry professionals. This will allow for insight into the commercial prosthetics sector.

-> Connecting the Community:

I plan to increase the social calendar at Prosthetics Society, ensuring it is a place to relax outside of regular lectures.
