Manuela Jiggins

Hiya,

I’m Manu, a current molecular bioengineering student and member of leg team. I have really enjoyed my experience in prosthetics soc so far. It has allowed me to meet new people, do some hands on work and learn more about this cutting-egde field directly from an amputee.

I would love to contribute back to prosthetics society by - alongside carrying ankle team- running for the new role of publicity and media officer. From posters across campus to more social media posts, my goal is to raise awareness about the cool things we're doing and get more people to join our cult society.

Spreading the prosthetics propaganda to different departments will bring different areas of expertise, allowing for collaboration to carry out more well-rounded designs. I would also aim to post regular updates on each team’s progress, allowing potential members to see which sub-team would most interest them and promoting interconnectivity within the society. Some of my ideas include posting testimonials from previous prosthetics society members, interviewing team leads and of course getting people to do brain-dead internet challenges.

I may be forcing you to dance for the camera but its all in honor of prosthetics. Sorry in advance and vote for me if you're a real one.
