Hussbaan Pasha

As-salaamu‘alaykum,

I’m Hussbaan, and I’m running for Treasury for STEMM.

Since starting at Imperial, I’ve been committed to supporting and strengthening the Muslim community. Through my involvement with ISoc, I’ve helped organise events that bring students together, and as an active STEMM events attendee, I’ve gained a strong understanding of the society’s objectives, value to its members, and the work that goes on behind the scenes to make it successful.

While STEMM has come far this year, there is still significant potential for growth. Beyond effective financial management, I see an opportunity to build long-term relationships with sponsors, donors, and Muslim professionals in industry. By strengthening connections, we can expand the opportunities to our members and help position STEMM for greater impacts in the years ahead.

If elected, I hope to:

- Leverage my experience in fundraising and external engagement, including through initiatives such as Charity Week, to identify new sponsorship opportunities and build meaningful relationships with Muslims across industry.
- Support the long-term financial sustainability of the society by exploring partnerships that help expand and improve events, and opportunities available to members.
- Be an active and visible committee member, working closely with the wider team and engaging directly with members rather than operating solely behind the scenes.
- Promote collaboration across the committee to help deliver events that provide both professional and personal value to our community.

I am committed to serving the society with sincerity, collaboration and a focus on creating lasting opportunities for our members.
